6 held for drug abuse, gambling

Police on Monday night detained six people from various places in Dhunat upazila of Bogura district  for drug abuse and gambling .

In separate drives, police detained Abdul Aziz alias Chandu, 30, Rokon Hasan, 22, and Bablu Swarnakar over drug trading and abuse and Ratan Mia, 21, Selim Reza, 22, and Hasan Ali, 21, for gambling, said Dhunat Police Station inspector Faruque Islam.

They were sent to jail on Tuesday afternoon following court orders, the inspector added.
