Bogura’s Dhunat Upazila Awami League has held a meeting to commemorate the grenade attack day on August 21. The meeting was organized by Upazila Awami League at Dhunat Gov. NU Pilot Model High School premises at 5 pm on Tuesday.
Bogura District Awami League President Alhajj Mujibur Rahman Mojnu as the chief guest. Speaking as the chief guest, he said that another August 15 incident was followed by a heinous state assassination on August 21 by the BNP-Jamat government. In fact, the killers of August 15 and August 21 are the same. Even, they wanted to hide the documents.
Dhunat Upazila Awami League President Prof TIM Nurunnabi Tarique presided over the meeting while Upazila AL General Secretary Abdul Hai Khokon, Adviser Golam Hossain Sarkar, Vice President Kudrat-e Khuda Jewel, Women’s Affairs Secretary Naznil Nahar, Upazila Mohila Awami League President Popy Rani Poddar, Upazila Juba League President VP Sheikh Matiur Rahman, Organizer Secretary Shafiqul Islam, District BCL President Naimur Razzak Titas, Upazila Swechchhasebak League President ABS Sabuj, General Secretary Selim Reza Riman and Upazila BCL General Secretary Abu Saleh Sopon delivered the speech.
Speakers at the meeting demanded immediate execution of the verdict in the August 21 grenade attack case in connection with the assassination attempt on the prime minister and the assassination of party leaders.
